Get a speeding ticket y0! Too Much vTeC??!!??

Pretty much any shop that has a dyno for emissions testing should be able to do a speedo accuracy check... unless you're looking for shady work that says your speedo is much further off than it really is...

Well Curry's sure "helped" Evan out. Take it to them, maybe if you pay them as much as he did for his alignment they'll "fix" your calibration problem.

idea - unplug your speedo. then take it to a shop, get them to "fix" it and provide description that your speedo was "broken" but now it works

I not looking for a change of 25, I just don't want reckless cause that'd suck. How is 80 on an abandoned highway at night considered endangering the lives and limbs of others? I admit I'm guilty of speeding, but reckless? Blow me!

Evan - I think that would have only worked if I had mentioned that to the cop at the time of the charge.
Also to Evan - What is this Curry's place and how did they help you out? Send IM.

What is it, 15? 20? over the speedlimit is automatic wreckless. Wreckless driving I believe has nothing to do with endangering others, that's wreckless endangerment.(of course I've been known to be wrong on quite a few occasions)

Curry's is the shop that bent Evan over for his alignment. I was just joking about them helping you in your current predicament.

Reckless is 20+ over speed limit (was 55) or anything over 80 (was doing 84). I was driving a friend home from work after his car died (don't ever go the way the cop was ) and as I stated before the road was empty (3 lane highway). The cop and I were cool to each other. I think I should be in fairly good shape without the speedo to get it reduced, I'd always like to have the extra backup though.

Edit: Clean driving record.

He runs At NASA and SCCA events and also worked EV for the Grand Prix in DC this weekend he is one hell of a mechanic, I doubt that he"ll do what you want but give him a ring.

Sorry don't have number on hand but he's located on Pleasent Valley Road just past the Fairfax line in Loudon County.

Anything 20 over the limit is wreckless
Anything over 80 is wreckless
After 90 it wreckless indangerment ( and unless you got a good lawyer you'll be in jail, and have a suspended liscense with no restricted)
And yes you would have had to have said something to the cop at the time of the ticket for the speedo thing to work
Trust me I've been in all above situations ( including jail ) for my assholish driving

I Get to go again on Aug 6. Dam I'm dumb

Thanks Tony, I'm not gonna bother with John cause I'd rather not put someone I know personally in that situation. If all else fails, I'll just take it to him for a legit job.

If it doesn't work in my favor I simply don't bring it to court with me.

Does that speedo thing ever actually work? I've only known a couple people who tried it and it didn't turn out well.

After my 3-year stint without a license the first thing I do is call a lawyer.
