Where can I see a diagram of a 5th gens' cooling system traval path
Which direction does the coolant flow in a VTEC -- up the rad away from the stat toward the water pump, or down the rad and up the lower hose toward the stat? ... If it travels up the lower hose then the only coolant that is circualting around the head from a cold start is what was there when you shut the engine off. There is alot more coolant to circulate the other way. But the first way would give it a quicker warm up, and that is most likely how Honda designed the engine.
I'm flushing and have a T-flush between the engine compartment heater valve and the hose that goes into the block under, nearish the distriutor. Not sure if I can get a complete 100% flush on a cold engine with the stat closed ...
Anyone know were there is a diagram of the coolant system travel path. They usually have arrows showing the direction of flow with some explanation of what, when and where. Helms has no diagram in it.
