Well I just finished replacing my coolant pipe, but my smart *** partner(wife) lost 2 bolts. One from the canister of oil on the block and one from the thermostat housing. Is it safe to drive it like that while I order the other 2 bolts from the stealer?

hahaha,

i would think that if you can start the motor, and you dont have any leaks, then itd be safe to drive until the screws are obtained.... Just wouldnt push it.

 

Probably could pull a similar bolt off and find one close enough at a hardware store. I can't tell you how many I had to replace that seem to disappear and I can't wait a week for the dealership.

just go to the junkyard probably cost you 50 cents?

 

bolts are free, just pocket it..... they dont care and dont charge you for it.

Just make sure your thermostat housing is screwed in all the way with 2 bolts, and you should be fine.

Well she did lose them. Just like the bolts for my laptop. But nah, she will never see this thread she doesn't even have access to my pc. Cuz she breaks everything so all my stuff is banned from her. But somehow she always gets her hands on my bolts and then throws them to the trash.

 

dude i think the positive battery cable mounting blots the same size as the thermostat housing bolt just shorter.use that while ur waiting.it doesnt matter if ur positive battery cables hangin loose.
