okay problem #1

stupid me was backing up and didint notice those ever annoying curbs that gas stations have extended out in halfway middle of the parking lot for no reason and my exhaust hit it and bent the muffler all up.

everytime i start the car now i get this loud rumble noise, then as iexcelerate it goes away. any ideas on whats wrong now?

Im runing too rich, i have black stuff al laroudn my exhaust, im burning gas it smells liek gas back there too,

my motor is old 276k on it, I lose oil and rad fluid, i do oil changes myself lround 3k

rad fluid always topping it up

what shuld i do

 

#1 Check your exhaust hangers and the joints.

#2 Perform a compression test. You may want to perform a leak-down test as well.

 

sup dogg, iI fixed my exhaust problem, i had all the hangars rewelded it was hitting my gas tank.


But on another note i think i need a tune up, my ngk wires look good condition do i need tochange those? can i just change the plugs bro ? i did my oils and oil filter yesturday, i might need to do pcv valve though.

And also I dont have a leakdown tester so how much and where to for this one ?

Also Could you pull me the article for compression testing? I have the tester but its jus been a while since i did one haha iwanna make sure i remember correctly
