Default 97 GSR solid CEL when jumped. no spark

still trying to figure out what died when i was pulling plugs looking for a dead cylinder. once i reinstalled a plug wire with the car running the motor died and i could not get spark again. i also had a solid CEL. reset the ecu, tried it again. this time it does the 2 second cycle but still no spark. ignitor and coil test out okay. no voltage comming out of the coil output and no spark. jumped the harness under the glove box and turned the key to ON. solid CEL, no flashing. besides a bad dizzy pickup inside or fried ecu i'm out of ideas.

coil read 9.8k ohms on secondary and .9 to 1.1 on primary.

update, i discovered that the jumper actually triggers SRS codes. hmm..can you pull obd2a without a scan tool? i'm about to go buy one of those SOB's just to have.

another note about that coil is the cranking with the wires not attached. i found this page http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq....html

can't help but think i may have done similar. coil guesses seem to be the big one here.

Sounds like you shorted something out. Check your fuses.
Here's a link to pull codes. Good luck

found that little connector & did just that. got SRS light flashing not CEL flashing. i know obd1 is easy to do this with. however, with a 97 it's obd2a not sure if the same trick works in the same place
