i didnt even know they made dirt tires big enough for sport bikes 
. sometimes i see stuff like this and i think "man people in other countries are just crazy" then i remember eating contests, tractor pulls, mud racing, rock paper scissor championships, and bottled water are all products of the good 'ol usa and i realize, "wow, everyone in the world is stupid"

Sand drags are really popular in my area, but they tend to attract Banshee's, CR500's and other dirt-oriented equipment.
I would be lying if I told you I haven't taken my YZ out to such events.

Anyone who's seen Mission Impossible 2 has seen stuff like this. The part near the end where Cruise and the main bad guy are fighting on bikes on the beach shows tires like that if you look carefully enough

wow just from riding dirtbikes i know that there is a sort of "sweet spot" behind another rider where you will get barraged by sand and stones.
I can imagine that if you fell in that spot doing this sort of racing it would be brutal.
Any idea what sort of times they run or what mph they get up to at the big end?

Eh, that's Hollywood. Apparently the popular idea is that "upshifting = faster" or something. F&F has some 8-speed cars too
