Default idle issue

Car was running fine until one day out of the sudden it wouldnt start unless i hold the revs for a few secs until it will catch the idle.

Car drives normaly besides that, though i get the weird idlie issue goes from 1k-2500 up and down but if i turn the car off and on again it wont hold the damn idle unless i rev it a few seconds...if its not enough either it dies or stays at 600-700 . Once i start driving around it will hold 1000-t1100 but if i drive it hard there goes the 1000-2500 again

I cleaned the iacv, changed the oring, flushed the coolant again and havent found any leaks.....what i noticed is that the car doesnt respond to when i mess with the iac duty cycle on the s300 and that it wont have that "accelerated idle" when warming up.

Any thoughts?

did you do what i asked you to do? unplug the IACV while the car is trying to idle to see if the car reacts? if it doesnt its probably the IACV. otherwise might wanna check your vtek fluid and triple check for vac leaks.

maybe walker will chime in since he recently dealt with IACV issues.

good luck ricer

doubt its the ecu as the car drives fine besides this "little" problem.

Possible chance you have a throttlebody leak or a intake manifold gasket leak. my buddy had a similar problem to yours and it was because his butterfly spring on the TB was weak.

When was it tuned? Conditions when it was tuned? Conditions now?

If all pretty much the same, I would say something vaccum related.

Refer to my old thread, there are a few steps I took to check the IACV....do them and report back.

tried it, the reasonsi´m leaning most towards it being busted is not being able to play with the iac duty cycle on the s300 and the fact i get no "cold idle" during the warmup.
