1992 accord battery wont charge
one day my battery just died and wouldnt recharge. i had the alternator tested at the local car parts store and they said it was no good so i got a new one from them, battery still wont charge. the car will run off battery power but just dies when the battery dies what could it be?
Check your grounds and if that's a no go replace the battery. I've brought in brand new Alternators and Batteries to those shops and had them tested. They told me, "Sorry, it's no good--but we've got some good deals--would you like to purchase a new one?"
I've never trusted those guys since. My point is, go replace the battery. You said you alsready replaced the Alternator right?

How old is your battery? If it's older than, say, four years, just replace it.
In what shape are the battery terminal clamps? If they look beat up or are corroded, just replace those as well. And while the battery is out, go ahead and remove / replace the ground wire. If it is looking old... yep, replace it as well (should come with a new clamp).
I don't know about Honda prices, but I just went through this on my '95 Toyota Camry. The price for the new positive terminal clamp was about $14 and the new negative wire with clamp was about $30 (dealer parts).

Hi, I just had the same problem with my 1997 Accord LX Coupe.
We found the problem this morning. It was the black/yellow wire from the altenator to the under the dash fuse panel. The electric shop ran a new wire and it works fine. They charged me $ 50.00 and completed it in one hour, I Hope this helps.
