Default Can I put a MPFI intake manifold on a DPFI?

I want to convert my 91 STD to MPFI. A friend of mine said that I can put a MPFI intake manifold in place of my DPFI manifold. I know that there is A LOT more to it than just that. Can anyone tell me what I have to do or even if it is possible?

Also he is giving me is VTEC head. I was just gonna wire the VTEC up to a toggle switch. SOMEONE HELP!!

2 things to know if you are new to the forum.

1. search. use the search button, someone probably has ask this before (in this case, many times)
what you are looking for is under the faq on the top of the forum.

2. do you actually know what vtec is?

How in the world did you converter to MPFI without using a MPFI intake mani?????
And do yourself a favor and go threw the FAQ's and read the thread on mini-me's before you destroy your engine with that toggle switch.

Here is a good thread for you to read first:

Enjoy your vtec

yes, i know what VTEC is. I was just going to wire it up to a switch since i dont have an ECU that'll make it kick in, just whenever I needed it, I would just flip the switch.

yea... vtec isn't like nawwwsss or something. its designed to be activated through the cpu. get a p28 and wire it up the right way. If i saw someone with a friggin switch for vtec in their car i would probably bust out laughing.
