Default overheating...fan problem...HELP!

i recently did a D16z6 swap into a 98 dx civic hatchback and everthing seem to be going perfect.. im driving around town and noticed my heat temp. climbing up between the little heat symbol and the red line (in the middle of the two) i changed the thermostat but it still does the same thing... then i noticed my fan isnt comming on as its suppose to.. (the fan on the radiator is new) so i go to autozone and buy a radiator fan switch and replaced the old one.. still the same thing happens the fan doesnt come on and the car heats up between the half way mark and red danger line.. any suggestions

check for power and ground at the fan motor. i dont understand why people just go replacing parts with no diagnosis.

check the fuse, if its good try looping the fan switch connector connecting both lines then turn the ignition on, if the fan comes on chances are that you have a bad wire or a loose connection somewhere in the harness, also dont forget to bleed the system, if its not blead you will your z6 will most likelly overheat.

your totally backasswords sohc speed. if you jump the switch like that means your bypassing it. you jump it and the fan comes on that means you have a bad switch, not a bad wire.

Check your connector plugs & relays.
I had the same problem, come to realize that I had a bad plug.
