Default Energy Suspension Motor Mount inserts

How many of you have motor mount inserts installed ? And which ones... front, rear, driver's side ???

What are your experiences with them installed ? In contrast to stock ones ?
any problems or complaints ?

I'm scheduled to have them all installed... and would like some insight before i take the plunge. I HAVE heard some bad things about them... like toooo much vibration.

Please clarify!

I have the front insert. Only down side is that you also need to buy a new stock motor mount.

can you elaborate on this? I thought they were just inserts fo the existing mounts?

I could have just reuased the old mount, but it was torn to hell and the ES directions say "If the mount is severly damaged, we recommends replacing with a new engine mount".

I guess you are having the front and rear 5th gen inserts installed.
E/S only makes a front mount for the 4th gen, which I have. Just this one front mount added a good bit of engine vibration to the cockpit, but not too much to be annoying.
I'll eventually upgrade to a rear Prelude motor mount and insert which should be comparable to your setup and expect NVH levels to be only barely tolerable.

I have just the front tranny insert on my h22a. Yes it does add vibration to the car because the point of it is to reduce the movement of the engine which would transfer the vibration to the car. It vibrates most at idle and when you're are just accelerating.

Are those energy suspension inserts? Energy Suspension says they only supply one torque position does this mean they supply both the front and rear insert and call the rear one the torque position? http://www.suspension.com/honda.htm

Sorry for bad pics.

Stock 4th gen EX rear mount on left (4th and 5th gen EX mounts are very similar).
Stock 4th gen Prelude VTEC rear mount on right (4th and 5th gen Accord LX/DX and 4th gen Prelude rear mounts are very similar).

Inserts for Prelude mount.

Prelude mount with inserts.

The EX rear mount is horrible. Replacing with a DX/LX/Prelude mount is so much better, but you need a DX/LX/Prelude rear engine mount bracket as well.

Edit: PS yes the EX rear crossmember already has the proper bolt holes for the 3-bolt-pattern of the other mount.

Looks like the mount heights are different too?

No fitment problems? Ones a three bolt and the others a 4. The cross member has 5 holes in it then?
