Default bike #2 is getting delivered this afternoon.

a few years ago i picked up a honda hawk cb400-t to learn on, i rode it for a few year's, then got rid of it.

now a few years have gone by and i finally think im ready to pick up the bike i have always wanted. a 2004 CBR 600RR, 6,300 miles, never been down in its life, original owner is selling it, clean title, paint is flawless, sticker's are flawless, everything work's, yoshimura slip on...it was always stored in a climate controlled garage, paint need's a quickwax.

so i met with a private seller who asking $5,500 but i talked him down $500 because i think it still has the original tires on it, and they both need to go.

the tires still have life left in them, the front tire is in great shape, the rear has about 1500-1000 miles in it...those would need to be replaced within a week.

i did test ride the bike and i did make sure everything is working, no leaky fork's, brake's stop really good, no unusual sound's or feeling's, the bike tracks straight.

i was a little rusty with 1st gear, but i felt pretty comfortable on it, and liked the feel of everything.

what do you guy's think? good deal for $5,000?

I have the same bike, it's a solid buy. I recently totalled mine, however, and my insurance company is giving me a little more than your seller's asking price. I'd say you're getting a decent deal if the bike is in the condition you described. Screw the seat cowl, do a track day!
