Hi my friend dropped his bike and cracked the head where you bolt your exhuast manifold to. he wants me to help him fix it but i dont know anythign about a bike except how to ride it. im really good with cars tho, is swapping a head on a bike like swapping it on a car? is there any place i can look for torque specs and maybe even how to do this? any and all help is greatly appreciated. thank you
motorcycle engines are just like car engines except the transmission is in the same case as the crank. The same principles apply. Be neat, clean, and organized. Get a manual so you know what the tolerances are supposed to be.
Dropping and engine on a bike is a cake walk too.
TIP: you will need some special tools like the clutch holder which you can make or buy.
