Heating problem?????
Ok I have a 97 Ej8. Currently like all hondas I own the temp gauge never moves. But recently my temp goes up. I have some AC autotechnic gauges on my cluster so, usually its always between two dots. Now it reaches the next dot when im in a stop usually a drive thru. I mean what gives? Only does it at a stop and sometimes it doesn't do it. So its not all the time. Fan is kicking on cuz I can hear it. Could it be my thermostat? That's getting stuck just sometimes or what. Usually I've noticed that it would stay up until I accelerate. Not the water pump right?

It's not the thermostat, the thermostat only is closed when the engine is cold. After the engine is warmed up, it's open, and stays open. If it was stuck closed, your engine would overheat right away until you shut off the engine, or it ate itself. If it was stuck open, it would take a hell of a long time to open up. They don't "open and close" while you're driving and the like.
The evidence points to your fan not kicking on when it should, but you said the fan is kicking on fine because you can hear it, which means it's possible that your ECT (the electronic coolant temp sensor which controls when the fan kicks on) isn't operating 100%, leading to it not kicking on when it should.
