Does anyone know to replace an ignition in a 1990 honda accord and why the speedometer won't work? We have replace the speed sensor and it still doesn't work. HELP!!!

 

Or don't read the thread that was created like 2 seconds ago ABOUT THE EXACT SAME DAMN THING.

 

Also as to the ignition you'll need to be a bit more specific.

Are you referring to the ignition switch (electrical) the cabling for it or the key tumbler stuff or something else?

 

The car either won't start or just shuts off by itself we fixed its the ignition switch that needs to be replaced. Just trying to find out how to do it....

 

Should be similar to the 5th gen.

take off the steering wheel cover, just phillips screws then should be 2-3 bolts (8mm) just unclip the harness from it and swap it out.

Pretty straight forward.

Part is ~$50 from Honda new

 

Ummmm had the same problem, mine was the main relay. we are hoping that the relay was the shiftihng problems.
