I have a 1990 honda hatch. The car will do this sometimes but not all the time. It will turn over but not start and the ecm flashes 16 times.....looked it up and it says fuel injector.. Like i said does like once or twice a week always ends up starting up after i mess with it for awhile. let me know wat u think?
It's your main relay. Hondas always show code 16 when the main relay goes because the main relay controls the fuel pump and the ECM. When the main relay sends no power to the fuel pump and you try to start the car, the ECM realizes that no fuel is getting to the injectors and therefore assumes that there is a fault with one of the injectors such as a clog, hence your code 16. on a hot day the main relay will intermittently stop working. your best bet is trying one that is good or buy a new on hondapartsunlimited.com. theyre cheaper than going to your local dealer
