Finally, things have been setting off for my rex. I kind of started this a bit late as my car is now undergoing its firewall conversion by a friend of mine. Anyways, here are some pictures of the old and up to the current stages of my build.
It all started about a couple years ago when I first laid eyes on the CRX owned by my friend, Jimmy..

And here's a fast forward of the CRX I picked up from my cousin, which I began to build over the past year..

Then Jimmy had to upgrade...frecking Jimmy...

So I followed...

Real Hood From eBay

Clip From HMO

SIR Doors From HMO

B16A Swap From HMO
And then....the stripping commenced

Couple weekends and I'll have my car back from the conversion. Stay tuned.

just came back from visiting the car. sergio says it'll be one more week before the rex is ready to go home. firewall's sitting flush and the front core are both prepped and ready to be welded. i'm exceedingly impressed by sergio's work - HIGHLY RECOMMEND this guy to all those interested in converting. in the mean time, i'm working on litttle things here and there...trying to make things look spiffy and somewhat new.
under dash supports reconditioned

a little loom and heat shrink should fix this

climate control cracked into two during uninstallation. some super glue made it better =P

a little sneak peak on the whip at sergio's

for the motor, i just have a few bolt-ons in mind, nothing drastic
aiming for a super clean bay though. as for the paint, i'll keep it a secret.

sergio's conversions only involve that part of the firewall. comes out cleaner if you think about it (weld/silicone wise), just need to make minor modifications to utilize the japanese windshield wipers. i actually prefer this method of conversion because the windsheild's frame and support isn't altered in anyway, maintaining safety and rigidness.

finished looming my rear harness since i had nothing else to do today...oh and i retained this japanese tag that was taped to the old loom. turned out pretty well, considering that i'm a rookie at this.

I never knew there were spot welds by the vin across the firewall until today. Can you get anymore pics of the interior side of the firewall?
