99 si into 97dx

Since the 99 si is OBD2band the 97dx is OBD2a are they compatible, if i use the obd2 to obd1 conversion harness with my p28?

i'm thinking it won't matter since they are both obd2, just want a heads up incase of some conflicts between the two.
