*edit* Fixed.
Straightening out a 90 CRX.
The front radiator support was pushing in, has a new hood, and passenger fender looks like some one took a hammer to it and bent it in, in several spots when I got it.
It started making a bad squeaking sound on the front right passenger wheel about 90 miles after I got it.
Car needed inspection, I thought I would let them deal with it. It got so loud that my passenger and I would laugh out loud when people would look, it was that bad.
Inspection station found a bad tie rod on that side, rest of the car was fine, including drivers side.
Drove it away from there, all stickers and done (PA), but I can hear the squeak just barely.
Noise: It's rotational. Wheel barely rotating, it's a loooooong squeak. As you pick up speed, it's a faster squeak, until it's 'gone' because you are going about 25mph or faster. I am assuming maybe it will come back in full noise glory, not sure.
Could it be a wheel bearing going bad? Ball joint? I would think wheel bearing. One thing I know is the brake fluid needs to be flushed, the car had sat a bit (1+ years). Replaced trans fluid, and oil, of course.
Anyway, I am going to test the brakes, it really sounds like a brake drag, but it brakes evenly (will test again tonight). However, the DRIVER SIDE is getting hotter than passenger side, going to use a laser thermometer to confirm tomorrow. The way I tested that was spit on finger, touch rotor on passenger side... hot but silent. Same test on driver side = SIZZLE (spit burned off, audible).
Thoughts?

rotational squeek could be the squeelers on the brakes. If the caliper froze up from not having any grease on the slider bolts, the previous owner might have burned up the pads on that side causing the squeeler to rub all the time. i would check that as first order of business..
while your under the car, before you take the wheel all the way off, just spin it and try to diagnose the issue. Chances are, you will be able to see or hear it as its happening.

Ja. I figured putting it up is best. Did some reading (imagine that).
Will check top to bottom play (balljoint).
Pads (on the outside of the rotor) looked good. Could still be a stuck caliper and all of that... will know on Saturday!
Wheel bearing I know what that sounds like...
Thanks for the suggestions (stop being lazy and just go do it). I took care of a lot of stuff today though (Sprayed two sets of wiper arms, wheel arch rust on 94 Accord, touch up of other work, etc.

Heh, PERFECT.
Just the stupid Rotor splash shield tip was bent and contacting the rotor, making a terrible squeak/squeal. Heh, easy fix.
How does THAT happen (just got the car, so did it since I got it).
