I run a chipped P28 with and OBD0 to 1 conversion harness and and OBD1 ignition in my 89 CRX.
Yesterday, I wanted to test an OBD0 PR3 ECU so I removed the conversion harness, connected the PR3 and successfully started the car.
I know that you cannot use an OBD1 ECU without an OBD1 ignition because of the different crank sensors (16 vs 24 teeth) but I didn't know you could use an OBD0 ECU with an ODB1 ignition!
Just sharing just in case no one had come across this
