Question about 4th & 5th gen suspension.
I have a 93 Si with oem struts/springs, and my buddy has a 97 with tokico struts/eibach sportline springs...and we want to swap strut/spring assemblies because he doesn't want his car lowered and I do.
Is this possible, or are there differences between the two cars that would keep us from swapping strut/spring assemblies?

4th gens and 5th Gen Bases have the same suspension setup. The only difference are the strut hats.
Type SH have a different setup. I can't remember if the fronts are different or the rears. I believe the rears are different.

Only the front SH springs and shocks are different. All aftermarket stuff, both springs and shocks are designed for 4g/Base, which is why you can use them on an SH. 4g and 5g suspension are completely compatible in terms of interchangeability.
So that means I can swap my oem 4g f & r strut assemblies with his 5g aftermarket f&r strut assemblies?
Would I have to swap tophats like that guy said in the second post?
