Advice on rear supports for rollcage in eg
I have looked at 100's of rear mounts by now and was just wondering your thoughts on this style of rear support. I usually don't like rear supports mounted to strut cross bar but I see these supports go all the way down to the body. Seems Like a good way to have well supported rear down tubes and stiffen the center of the towers with the cross tube.

No comments on rules or what series, just what is the safest way to mount them and also stiffen the rear.
Thanks

it looks like the left side (in the picture) extends down further than the right mounting area. maybe it's jsu the angle of the picture? I think they should be further to the outside of the car as opposed to in bewteen the shock towers. Just an opinion tho.
So basically, have them intersect the rear "strut tower bar" instead of somewhere else. Going to the shock towers is a better idea, as that's where the suspension load is (the way I've been led to believe it, anyway). I've seen this design criticized, and I understand it but can't explain it well.

It's been criticized because usually the tubes end at the crossbar and the crossbar is not supported...here i see the tubes go all the way to the body and the crossbar stiffen the towers?

Are the crossbars actually attached to the towers though? It doesn't look like it, but its hard to tell from that pic. If they're just tying the two rear arms together, that's not doing much. The other criticism I've heard though is a lack of support TO the towers, for suspension reasons.

. . . . BALLIN'!!!
