Before I drop the gas tank....(fuel pump not priming)
Heres the story cliff note style:
1. Bought a car that was sitting for 5+ years
2. Test drove car (gas tank was empty) but no problems starting up and driving, put in a couple gallons of gas.
(NOTE: car did over heat slightly due to low coolant but put water in it and cooled down and contiuned to drive, so I doubt its anything to do with this)
3 Drove 20+ miles and then it died while driving to my house.
4. Car cranks over but does not start.
5. Dont hear pump prime when ignition switch is turned to on position
6 Tested the main relay and clicks three times (1 to prime 2 to turn off pump 3 when ignition swithch is moved to the start, also removed it and tested it outside the car w/12v battery)
7 Replaced spark plugs and they didnt smell like fuel even though I have been cranking it over
7 Replaced fuel filter, but before i re-installed the new filter I left one of the hoses off to see if I would get fuel coming out....NO FUEL!!!
So before I go through the PITA of dropping the tank and replacing the pump. Can you guys show mere where to check for power at the fuel pump? Just to be 110% sure that its not something else?
Car is a 91 SI hatchback.
Thanks!...in the mean time Ill keep searching.

Just curious... but would it ever be possible to just wire up an out of tank pump? Meaning, could you just 'suck' the fuel out of the tank instead of having to drop it and all of that jazz?

you can splice in 12v to your fuel pump with out taking the tank out...should have access to the wires under the rear seat or under the storage tray of the crx...its the 2 thick wires...if you hear it run it not the pump if it doest run it is the pump its easy to change
