Default Will S-AFC correct my rich idle caused by cams?

Hey,

I have Crower 62403's and have just ordered an S-AFC to optimize the fuel mixture and to get rid of the rich idle associated with those cams and the upped fuel pressure with an FPR. The only thing is, I was just at the Apex'i website and it says that you can only adjust the fuel from 1000-9000 rpm, Since my car idles around 750rpm, wouldn't that mean that my idle would still be rich even if I turned down the fuel at the lowest setting on the AFC? That would suck!! Is there a way to raise the idle up to, say, 1100 or so? I've heard that turning the idle screw or something doesn't do anything because the ECU compensates for it. Am I stuck with the rich idle? I kinda wanna keep my O2 sensors and cat. converter. Thanks.

well do this cut thr fpr doen so at idle it will runn dine. then one the afc adjust from 1000-to waht ever
so that in idle its at the fpr setting, and once u hit 1000 the afc overides. get it?

If you get an S-AFC do you still need an FPR?

if you were serious .. he said:

Turn down the fuel pressure some ... and then use the Apexi SAFC for 1000rpm+

i have the same cams dood ... about to do some fuel tuning myself .. 310cc/fpr/frail/fpump/safc gonna prob get the greddy air/fuel gauge comes with
its own O2 sensor and poss the apexi rev/speed meter .. to help guide me a little while doing my own tuning ..with out paying for the hefty dynoz... ill dyno after i think i got it tuned real nice

lol sorry guys. an ways if u have a adjustable fpr, then turn the fuel down so that it won't idle rich. then adjust the with the a-afc from 1000- to 8000. so that when it hits 1000 it wont lean out.

The AFC also adjusts rpm's around the target rpm. It doesnt just spike at 1000 rpms then back to nothing at 1100. You'll notice the graph will have a gradual rise and decline on it once you get the AFC and start messing with it. So lowering 1000 rpm's will affect all the way down to probably 500 rpms.

BTW I'm wondering how to do this too. I'm putting 404's in a high compression B20 (12:1) and I'll probably get the venom injectors so I dont have to push the **** out of the fuel pressure, and then get an S-AFC to work out the kinks.
