i recently went from a 120 70 17 to a 120 65 17 , and i have noticed a much faster turn in, and it seems to me that the bike is more eager to lean lower, i kinda like it... i cant tell if its just the fact that i finally got rid of that damn stock front tire, and got a PP on there..
anybody ever try anythin like that??

I did the exact opposite. I went from a stock 120/65 to a "standard" 120/70. The 65 turn in is amazing but it wanted to tuck mid corner. The 70 is planted throughout but I dropped the front about 5mm and it gave me better turn in.

well i had a pilot power on the rear, and the stock dunlop POS on the front.. i just replaced both of the tires, and its head over heels better in the corners. but i was just curious to see if it was the dramatic differences in tire quality, or just the profile. or a lil of both

you can achieve the same affect by dropping the forks in the tube/raising the rear.
you're basically increasing front rake, which makes for better turn in, but at the cost of stability.

I would say any improvement you are noticing in handling is the result of having matched tires front and rear now, as well as the more triangular profile of the Pilot Power.
