B16A???
I just picked up a running b16a complete swap which appears to be OBD 0 and I want to know what this engine came from and if the tranny is a b16 tranny or not. The engine is stamped B16A no and it is mated with a cable tranny. I also want to know what it is going to take to run this head on my DA? The swap came with engine, tranny, axles, mounts, complete wiring harness, and ECU. Thanks guys.
should be a direct swap.
most likely its a 1991 B16a. it should say on the head somewhere
like this :9/1 meaing its 1991.
i had a b16a in my civic coupe with hydro tranny. the stamp was just B16A and it came out of a 1991 JDM del sol.
also the only way that i would know of testing the tranny is when you install it, 5th gear should be around 3500rpm at 60mph? im not sure iforgot. ive long sold that car.

i have that swap in my da, its a direct swap and for the tranny is there a number on it if there's not drive to like 80 mph and you should be at 4krpm...youll have to run the vtec wires though.
when i was going 80 mph in my b16 tranny i was already almost in vtec. [vtec @5500, 80mph = 5200rpm
JDM b16A tranny with CTR ratios. i miss that damn car. but gas goes up so i let it go for a 94 integra RS
