Default Tranny

I have a 93 VX and it has been sitting for almost a year. My problem is the shifter is really hard to move. I tried changing the oil and running the engine to warm the oil but it is still really tough. Any advice?

Hello,

Automatic or manual trans? If it's an automatic, suspect the shift cable. Manual trans, look at the shifter bushings & the bushings at the trans itself. Doesn't take much to gum these up.

Good Luck

Didn't all the VXs come in 5-sp? Anyhow, put it up on stands and inspect the linkage and stuff. Could it be rust?
