Default H2b Turbo decided to go with a gsr tranny vs my LS any tips for 1/4mile

Ok guys im taking out my LS tranny and found a jdm gsr for my car.

I heard of alot of guys mixing and matching gears, what do you guys reccomend or sound i just leave the gsr the way it is and slap it in.

Setup is h22 490whp,378wtq. never had a hard pass down the track since i was check if the suspension was good and the car went straight. 12.2 123mph 2.0xxx 60footer on bfg tires.

I am planning on racing the car this weekend with the same street tires BFG(225/50/15) but i need some help on what to do since my tranny will be open.
Kaaz lsd also installed

2nd 1.900 1.900
3rd 1.269 1.360

4th 0.966 1.034
5th 0.714 0.787

Reverse 3.000 3.000
Final drive 4.266 4.400

thats what i went with i had only one issue but that was resolved, couldnt find a 66tooth final drive ring but lucky the good guys at jdmr had one. i will update you guys on how the car goes at the track this weekend with that setup. goal is 11's on a street tire the way i drive the car on the street and i will be happy.

i know its not much but ill be happy with 11second ,grocery getter ,home depot cargo car.

hes gonna be shifting 5th before 1320ft.

490whp eg h22, gsr tranny, bfgs 23-4" tire

if you want to shif to 5th just be ready for it.

meaning i want him to know hes gonna be passing 1000ft bouncing of the revs in 4th gear.

7500 rpm with a gsr tranny and 23" tall tire will be 113mph top of 4th gear

8500 rpm would be 128mph

the only question is what is reving his motor to?

nevermind i see now hes gonna use the 225/55r15 bfgs which should be 24.5" tall tire

thats if he completely hooked...since he is on radials he is going to spin, when you spin you effectively shorten the track...

by your numbers i should have been into 5th or riding the 8500rpm limiter (you said 128, i trapped 130) but since i spun, i trapped 130 and was still under 8k in 4th.

bottom line is the only way to test it is to go to the track and run.

Tony dont waste the potential of that power your car makes bro, get some slicks on that beast and shoot for 10's. It would be so much sicker to say that you have a 10 second grocery getter / home depot cargo car! I just got some slicks for the DA, I wanna get to the track before next weekend so I can get a feel for them.

Car went 11.6 at 119mph had an issue getting it out of the hole , feel on its face since the two step (building 5psi) was to low but i will be tunning it this week for sat. had no traction in 2nd but that will be taken care of next time around when i lower the tire pressure on the 24.5's

best mph was on a street tire 2weeks ago 12.2 no boost out of the hole 123mph

putting the car back on the dyno tonight at mangus motorsports to see if the power is still at 490 since the mph is very low, but i did find an issue with the car that the battery was dead and not charging doto lack of ground, so when i get home im re doing all the grounds so that the engine bay has more then just one ground wire.
