Default 91 civic lx........... no hood popper?

ok, so im buying a 91 civic lx on friday.
body is amazingly straight.
it has a damn autotragic transmission though.
ok, heres the question.
ive noticed that theres no hood popper on the inside of the car.
looks like it got ripped off.???
so, how hard is it to run an OEM cable to the hood latch and reinstall the popper/puller?
and, will one work from a crx/hatch?

Its not hard to run the cable really
if the old cables still their, just tie the other one into it and pull.
Just so you know its at the far bottom left kind of under the dash a bit.

yeah, i didnt see none of that there.
not even the actual plastic puller thing under on the drivers side dash.
its kinda weird actually.
and i think they have a crx or a ef hatch front bumper on it because there a space between the bumper and hood so you can manually pop it.

you can't just attach a new cable and pull. mine was held by clips here and there between the firewall and the hood latch. but it is easy to replace. get the hood open and follow back from the latch...if the cable is gone, you'll need to route it from inside the car along the left frame rail (under the fender)
