Default 10 point rear lower control arm bolt...WTF?

I was in the process of swapping out my rear lower control arms on my '05 RSX when I noticed that the three bolts holding it to the trailing arm are what appears to be a 10 point. Where can I get this socket, and please don't tell me to bang another socket over them. I know there has to be a socket that fits this bolt perfectly, even if it is a dealer only part.

I didn't have the socket, and used a pipe wrench. It worked fine, since I was not reusing those bolts.

If you want the socket, I'm sure you could find a used one, or purchase one new, from SPC.

I know for sure the Skunk2 LCA's include this tool. Try NAPA or AutoZone.

A little off topic, but what does changing your lower control arms do? Like whats the benefit aside from extra clearance/adjustment for real lowered cars?

Benefits...bling factor...and thats about it. I got the old bolts off using a torch, a 17mm impact socket, a hammer, and an impact gun...I was going to make this my last option, and well it came to that. I am going to purchase the 10 point socket set that SK makes, for the future. My parents own a garage, so I knew that the pounding socket/impact trick would work, but I thought I could find a 10 point socket somewhere. Not even my local Honda dealer had one? Anyways...Thanks to all who posted!

I dont even know if these are the right sizes or not, but 10 point hardened sockets are very hard to find and pricey.

http://www.ebay.com/ Search 10 point Honda socket It says 20mm but it measures 16.2mm across the flats. I purchased the SPC socket and it is the same size.
Koken makes both a 16mm and a 14mm for European use.

Next time please just PM the person you wish to get the info from instead of bringing up a thread that has been dead for a couple of months.

Thanks
