is it worth buying a ebay 94-97 itr lip? has anyone bought one or knows someone that did? hows the fitment? and are they any close to looking like the comptech ones?

 

i saw a thread in reference to this not too long ago. try a search bro.
all i can say is you get what you pay for.

 

you never know what the fitment will be like from ebay...iike what was mentioned above, you get what you paid for

 

After dealing with ebay many times buying parts. I have learned when you buy the cheap stuff you wind up not liking the fitment nor the quality. So you wind up spending money on the cheap part + the money to buy the good quality parts. just my .02 cents.

As far as the uber cheap lips on ebay like the buy it now for .99 cents and $60 dollar shipping...I had a friend who ordered one and the shipped it folded in half in this tiny box.(i dont know how common that is) I choose to just get parts like that from a local shop where i can visually see the quality before i buy, or from a reputable company.

There is a little saying i know...."It costs a little more to go first class"

 

I got my ebay ITR lip for 50 bucks I believe. Fitiment was a bitch, since my bumper was also AM. But I got it to fit the way I liked in less than 30 mins. I just had to put 2 little screws at the bends to make it hold (barely noticable).

Jdmshit = shitty product. They shipped me a lip that was folded in threes. The form came back after leaving it out for awhile. Even after that, the fit was pretty bad. Just my opinion.

 

make sure its polyurithan first of all. and then make sure its a REAL itr replica or real itr OEM part. because sometimes they post up "type R style" and u get that funky looking lip hehe.


abs plastic isnt worth your money.
fitment is fine though, take a little more effort and if u have to use screws, just put black tape to hide them. tahts what i did on my old DC

 

I got the Poly.... lip off ebay that was supposed to be the same one sold by jdmshit.com... Lets just say the lip is still sitting in my garage. POS. Buy OEM

 

buy the one off here i think tunerzimage, i got it for 75 shipped fit like stock very nice

 

Mostly all polyurethane itr lips come folded in a small box. My comptech one did and really, you just need to leave it out to get its form back. My comptech lip has perfect fitment but exactly what the others have said, you get what you pay for. I've heard some people had great experiences with ebay/jdmshit/tunerzine/etc lips....and other people have had horrible experiences. It's up to you if you really want to take that risk....

keep in mind that when they say type r lip, it is just the style of a type r lip, which means it may look like it, but not exactly, also they are cheap because they may have manufacturing flaws like being too stiff, cut too short, too wide, or purely bad mode injection. check out my lip i got from ebay, note the bottom skirt is way to close to each other and more.
oh not to mention they will not answer questions regarding authentincity.

 

I know what you mean I purchased one of polyuranthane ones for my previous 99 gsr and OH man is it UGLY it flares out and looks nothing like the oem itr i regret ever buying it . The reason why i asked about the 94-97 itr lip is because it looks very similar to the oem itr and because Im broke and if i had the money to buy the comptech one i would.

 

oh yeah, I also seen them use the 99 itr design to fit on the 94-97, be carefull about those too, you might even see them on you tube integra tribute videos.

 

then save up until you can afford the comptech. anything else you will be unhappy with.

 

buy the tunerz image it fits perfect

he's correct.. either get 97 OEM ITR lip, or Comtech lip.. dont buy ebay lips
