What year ef do you have cause it doesn't mention anything? You will need a pair of hog ring pliers for crimping the rings that hold the uphoulstery to the seat pan and as for removing them maybe the same tool can be used but not to sure. Use a couple pair of strong needle nose pliers like from snap-on and pull the hog rings off. You will have to use the seat pans for your exact car. 1988 Crx seat pans and rails are completely different from the 1989 to 1990.

the tools i used were:
- 10mm (for seat rails)
- 17 mm or 19mm dont remember which one (for the bolt located on the side by the seatbelt)
- 12mm for the side bracket that allows you to adjust the seat angle
- needle nose pliers to remove the metal clips
- oh and i also used some carpet/upholstery adhesive to help the pan stick to the new foam

thats about it. its a pretty straight forward process. only thing is that the seats from a HB are different, pan wise. the way the pan bolts up to the back of the seat is located inward compared to crx seat pans.
