moisture in headlights

as per the topic... how to stop this..???

same thing happemned to mine. I think you could take them apart and clean them out and dry them, then reseal them. I think it's a PITA though.

you mean you can take them apart without breaking the lenses? Mine are full of moisture/dirt...

just yank those little clips off, right?

youll either have to put them in the oven or use a hair dryer/heat gun to heat up the edges of the headlight for the seal to become soft, then the lense and headlight assembly should pull apart. then clean out any moisture/rust in the headlight, remove all the sealing and re-seal it with clear silicone.

My headlights are glass. Did they really bond the glass and plastic with something that you have to heat to seperate?
wish me luck

1 more thing, will they stay clean/dry if you do this and seal well?

yeah, they used some sort of silicone stuff, its not that hard to separate, just takes some time, and patience

and yeah, just dont be cheep on silicone, squirt it all over the edges, then put them back together and the silicone will squeeze out, and use your finger and wipe the silicone that came out around the edges. should seal up fine
