H-Tech's & the Type SH Suspension
Hello Guys,
Been a while since I've posted. I had a questions regarding lowering a type-sh.
Okay, so it's a fact that the SH sits a bit lower than the base, I'm assuming this based off of the way the spring perches are set on the stock SH and base model struts. I'm not so sure if the coil length is the same or not and i don't recall seeing anyone throwing stock type-sh springs on a base.
Question is, when i replace the stock struts with KYB AGX's and the springs with Tein H-techs, will this lower the ride height .7-.8 based off of the stock ride of the of the SH? Or the base model? Because if that's the case, then the car essentially won't be lowered any more than it is now, or will it?
It's kind of a tricky question to type out, lemme know if i need to rephrase. Thanks in advance!

The SH and Base have the same ride height. It maintains the same ride height as the Base by lowering the spring seat position to account for the longer front-spring length.
Since your lowering springs are designed for Base and so are the shocks, the ride height will lower by the advertised amount. Which model they're designed for is arbitrary as long as both the shocks and springs are designed for the same model.

Hmm, really? I was always led to believe that the SH sat lower because of the perches. But in either case, this is great news, as Im about to order these parts later on today and would hate to have to change things up.
Thanks for the solid info and quick reply vin
