Default Bilstein perch help

i want to lower the perch on my bilsteins and am having trouble figuring it out...

do i hit the perch down with a hammer and then take off the clip? also what tool would i use to remove that clip?

If they're like Koni shocks, then you can just work the circlip out of the groove with a flat-head screwdriver, then move it down to the next groove.

The spring perch will have to be away from the circlip to make that happen, of course.
