a guy i work with his 90 accord automatic the check engine light came on and now in order for the car to shift he has to do it manualy. He also said it won't go any higher than 3rd gear. I tried to pull the codes today but all i got was a single flash over and over and over. What can this be?

 

Bad tranny?

 

it could be the solenoid on the front of the tranny could be bad...it wouyld most likely trigger a D4 light blinking
