Default Quick Question About The Integra

I was doing a valve adjustment today, and put the car up and noticed that the front wheels were able to be turned while the car was in gear.

I am pretty damn sure that the wheels have locked up in the past when the car was up in the air, but I'm not sure. When we worked on my friends G2, his wheels remained still when the car was in gear and on jackstands.

The car doesn't seem like it wants to roll when it's on the ground with the brake off and the car in gear, so I don't know.

Am I just paranoid, or are the wheels really supposed to lock when the car is in gear and off the ground?????

Thanks
Jon

While it's in gear you can turn one wheel and the other wheel will turn the opposite direction. It's the crappy differential in action, it won't cause the engine to spin.

While it's up on jackstands right? I thought that was supposed to happen and did, but I swear when we did my friends brakes on his G2 that the hub locked up while on jackstands, maybe I'm just remembering wrong. I guess the car is fine anyway. Thanks for the response.
