whats wrong with yours? also i see you live in sc i live in greenville and ive changed mine out.. i have a 89 dx and put the whole 88 hf wiring in my car from headlights to taillights if you need some help let me know
yeah i already have the other harness to put in i got it from honda parts unlimited in georgia. the problem with mine is that the guy who had the car before me had a b16 in it and chopped all the wires up to make it work. i tried to re wire it but he re pinned so many things and ran so many new wires that i couldnt get it to work with my swap. i took my car to top dead center in spartanburg and they said the harness was trashed and i needed a new one but they were gonna charge me 600 bucks to do it. but yeah i live in inman if you know where that is. its not to far from gville.
baaaaaaaaaah the dash harness is easy man. Just take the dash out (4 or 5 bolts?) and then lay it upside down on the ground and start unplugging crap and plugging the new harness back into the same spots as you go. I had no problem putting a whole different dash into my hatch and plugging my stock harness back into the new dash (out of a CRX) It's just about easier than doing an MPFI swap IMO...
ok thanks for the help guys i just didint wanna take any chances on starting something i couldnt finish cause ive never done it before. ive gotten in over my head before on wiring problems. but if you have any info or secrets to help me along the way feel free.

When taking the dash out make sure you label where all you're connectors are coming from by wrapping masking tape around them to write on. Put bolts in plastic bags and label those as well. Grab a Chilton Manual as that will explain how to take the dash out.
Not trying to sound like its a hard thing to do, but just giving you advice for your first time. I just did mine today as well, and cleaned everything on the way since I had the whole dash out. Took about 1 hour to 2. GL with it.

yeah i know where inman is and i took my car to top dead center to get it tuned and they couldnt tune it....so i got c-seng to tune it. anyways the dash harness isnt that hard just make sure that the connector that plug into ur engine harness all match up with the ones on the new harness before u start to tear the thing into pieces
alrite thanks for the heads up. yeah i think they are rippin ppl off up there bc they were gonna charge me 300 for a harness and 300 to put it in. i picked mine up for 135 shipped from honda parts unlimited in georgia.

DON"T TAKE IT OFF. Just lower the steering column. Its easier then messing around with that crap.

I told you to grab a Chilton Manual to help you out. This book will not only help you with this job but is a overall great investment to your car. $20 for Chilton Manual or $300 for shop to do it?

alrite thanks but where can i get a chiltons manual? i went to adveance auto and all they had was haynes. i would have got one of them but they didnt have one for my car. o well if i break somethin then ill learn from it i guess.
I just swapped my dash harness in my hatch, and it's not that hard. If I were you, take the steering wheel and seats out! it made my life so much easier! Also lower the steering colummn! I think there was 4 bolts you can loosen up and the dash comes off really easy!

But that's unnecessary work. I guess if you want to do extra work to get a job done then be my guest.

ok it doesnt sound to bad now that yall have explained it to me. i was just afraid of breaking plastic clips and stuff ya know. i didnt want to do any un necesarry work for no reason. i just wish we would have some cooler weather its hot as ***** lol
well i found the 4 main dash bolts and took those off and removed the odometer hood ( i dont know if that was necessary ). the dash is loose but doesnt seem to do much but wiggle. am i suppose to take off the glove compartment and the plastic going down to the e-brake handle. its effin got today!
well im stuck i got the center console out and instrument panel but idk what to do next its hot as hell and im freakin out. i dont wanna just start takin stuff off bc i dont know if i need to. dammit to hell.
