Default JW Why Integra (non itr) have their own FS thread?

I always wondered this, but on the ITR fourm they have their own thread dedicated to FS/WTB parts, every month... just wondering why the non itr fourm doesn't have that?

it would be a lot easier to look up parts, thats for sure..

not trying to start a thread or anything, make more work for the mods.. just wanted to know the reason.

thanks

well i think to do that, we need to get a list or a group of people wanting to do that... not just one person.. IF the non itr community comes together we could have our own WTB/FS thread.. but its just an suggestion

I'm just suppressed we dont have one...

I have thought about it. This forum sees a ton more traffic than the ITR forum. It may work. The picture thread has been going decently, although people have trouble following the format.

Post some thoughts on rules. For example:
Only Integra related parts.
Must post a link to a marketplace thread. (In other words, no trial users.)
No commentary.
Only one post per user.
No commercial posts.

You get the idea.

It seems like quite a bit more trouble than it will be worth, and remember that what works in one forum (namely the ITR forum) won't necessarily work nearly as well in another forum. It's quite a different environment over there. I suppose if you want to give it a shot, we can.

Pass any input or ideas along to Dogginator or myself and we'll talk about possibly putting something together.

I see a "gray area" issue with what I made bold. What about parts that cross model lines? EG shocks fit on a DC, for example, so could they be sold in this new thread?

Anyway, just tossing out my $0.02.

I would interpret that as parts that can be used on an Integra. Say like a K20 or other swap. I would not want to see iPods, Civic body kits, kidneys or other non-related items.

Expanding rules:
Only Integra related parts.
Must post a link to a marketplace thread. (In other words, no trial users.)
No commentary. Post questions or comments in the marketplace thread.
Only one post per user.
No commercial posts.
Only one post per user.

i agree to the extent the ITR forum is unique in that the parts are unique, people who want ITR parts or are part of the community can shop directly for their application, being ITR parts are becoming more rare, and most sought.
starting an Integra specific for sale thread might contain widespread items that could and should be easily be found in the og marketplace, being all B series parts are applied. B16 motors wouldnt specifically catogorize for USDM Integras, for example, are universal mostly, popular for swaps, and might as well be found in the HTMP. we would have to find the uniqueness the ITR forum holds within applicable parts, and i cant really think of anything right now that would hold that truth, besides say 98+ conversions or one piece DA headlights. most Integra owners want ITR parts anyway.
its a toss up. i strictly agree with doggs first rule, only integra related parts, and might be interested to see what people have to sell.

IMO if you guys did do this it would only included integra parts, hell your looking for civic parts goto the civic section..lol there is a f/s post in there..

I know itr parts are more valuable but I'm more of a edm fan.. just thought it would be a good ideal, doesnt mean we half to do it.. lol

i think all integra parts are getting more and more rare.. they are discounted and finding good oem parts is a pain in the but if everyone could fallow the rule i think it be pretty popular... after all there are more non itr owners than itr owners!

but i know a lot of people don't like to fallow rules , thus why alot of people are banned on HT

I would also suggest making it chassis or year(s) specific.
ie
a "da thread", and a "dc thread"

Maybe this could be moved to the Integra forum?

The ITR forum isn't the only one that has this. The Prelude forum does (with separate FS and WTB topics), the CRX/EF forum, etc.
