We felt it while working on a car in the RSA R&D center here in Torrance, CA!

Nothing major but I still ran for the door like a little bitch!

It really was funny...I come from the Mid-East where the biggest natural disaster we usually get is a tornado or some flooding... but when I felt the ground moving I bolted for the door. My co-workers all looked at me a laughed!

Born and raised in Socal, earthquakes are pretty common. Our shop shook pretty good, but nothing big enough for damage. The buildings out here get built pretty good to take quakes

yawn... so uh what happened? lol

i thought it was my laundry machine loosing a leg again

edit: but i freaked out at atco when i saw that thunderstorm come in like a tornado.. i guess its what your use too, earthquakes are boring, when i saw the t storm come in and take out the powerline, and flood the whole area in about 7 minutes that was scary.

My facility is at the epicentre! We are in Chino Hills, and it was pretty violent! Torco Oil bottles everywhere, and fallen crankshafts! We are ok, though.

Like you said, It's all what your used to. I thought Acto was pretty entertaining as storms go. You should have been here the past Sunday at 4 AM the lightning show was impressive. It woke up most people.

Bisi, glad to hear everyone is ok. Good thing oil bottles are plastic.

Major damage needs to be well past what happened today refer to northridge/san francisco quakes. Then the fact that everything rebuilt after those quakes is ten fold strength compared to what they were before. Fire is more of an issue in California now. Northern california has been burning for almost 2 full months now.

i used to live in texas and they will always scare you with tornado watches... at least here in cali..... earthquakes are over before you can even think about what to do...
