Going Back to Stock Springs :P

Default Going Back to Stock Springs :P

Well, got say good bye to the car, 1996 civic HX but before that I'm parting out all the parts.

To the point, so I have a set of coilovers on my stock shocks, Im going to put the stock springs back. Is it difficult to put them back?

do you guys recomendt it?

Not if you have a proper spring compressor or can borrow one? The stock ones are going to need to be compressed so that they can be put together. This is very dangerous if not done right because if they let loose under pressure - they can be deadly.

Other than the whole you might die thing it's easy to do.

I put my stock front springs back onto my Koni shocks, but the perch was on the lower setting. I still had to compress them a bit, but it wasn't too bad.

Likewise with my ITR rear springs and Koni shocks w/ the perch on the middle setting.

You'll need to get it aligned afterwards, though.

I will be selling the car in the following days. So I don't wanna deal with pressuring the springs. I was thinking (kinda old skool) cut the springs he he

you can rent a spring compressor from advanced or get one from a store for cheap...and honestly i've taken springs off plenty of times w/out a spring compressor, its only deadly for idiots..

He was asking about putting stock springs back on, which is impossible to do without a spring compressor.
