Default RADIATOR FAN TURNS ON RANDOMLY AND KILLS BATTERY- NEED HELP!!

i have a 95 accord ex and for about the past 6 months the radiator fan to the left turns on at night or when the weather is cool. this kills my battery. me and my step dad have checked all 3 sensors the run to the fan and all of them work. the fuse that runs part of the cooling system works, and i have take this fuse out everyday when im home so the fan doesnt turn on. the only thing that we could come to believe is that there is a short in the wiring. we think this cuz the fan only turns on when its cool outside. my hayes honda accord book doesnt have this part of the wiring system. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!

Does it come on after driving or just at random?

In my 1991 the radiator fan comes on after driving. It works fine like normal, as well does the condensor fan, but after I shut the car off, only the radiator fan comes on & runs for about 5 minutes. Car never gets close to overheating BTW.

I was wondering if this is normal....this is my first Honda...

all your problems are most likely the same....the fan temperature switches have gone bad and need repl;acing..there are 2 of them one controls the fans while the car is on and the other while the car is off i forget which one is which but one is on the top rad hose housing where it meets the engine and the other on the thermostat housing....good luck

as for your problem it could be the temp sending unit.....its located under the distributor and the second behind the engine

sorry for the double post

I just got a more powerful battery for my car. It used to drain the old battery, but now it just downs it. It still has power to start. (but that's about all.)

I start my car every day to make sure my battery is topped up.
