Sup guys i have an h23A1 motor in my prelude its been knocking for a while but i havent noticed it getting worse maybe my soft driving since i noticed it. either way besides the crank shaft what could the knocking be and how can i test/fix the problem? can i just replace my crankshaft and be all good? some one told me u had to balance it and what not.. how do u balance it?

u say its knocking.......well does it sound like the pizza man knocking or the police banging knocking, or is it more of a ticking?

either way bearings probably FTL

 

its not my valves ticking thats for sure. lol i have worked on my engine before. its sounds like the pizza man knocking on the door the bearings are on the block am i right? connecting rods onto the cracnkshaft and bearings go...? could i maybe get a map that would be sweet.

 

sounds like a rod knock...time for a rebuild
