i put a new timing belt in my zc and now i get a code 9
(code 9 #1 cyl ) but my timing marks seem to be on it run but will not idle .. i need some info on timimg marks and just to be sure the #1 cyl is on the driver side right? on my timing marks both ups are in the best i can get up and the 2 timing marks are in the middle of the 2 up marks and they shoulde line up on a goofy ange right? anyone see what i doing wrong here or am i forgetting somthing

if it trows a code 9 it comes from the CYL sensor on the dizzy....

ok, so you've got the crank pulley at TDC and then the cams to their setting with the 2 dashes on each lining up with the head right?
If so, reset your ECU (pull Hazard fuse for 10-15 sec).
If its still going nuts, you may have a genuine prob.
Thats the sensor that is on the other cam across from the dist.
Per Helms (UK version for ZC specifically) test the resistance between the 2 prongs on the sensor. If between 700-1K its fine, if not replace it.
