Does anyone know if the Wilwood front brake kit for the DC5/EP3 will fit my '05 RSX S? All that the wilwood website says is '02 to '04 RSX, and 02' - '05 Civic Si. I also called the company and the person said...what does the applications book say? I don't believe that the way the calipers and such mounted up changed between '04 and '05, but maybe someone has some insight. Thanks for any help!

To be honest I realize that the stock type S front brakes are very good as they are. I was just looking for a clean looking, yet cheap front brake kit. So more form over function, although I would want then to work better, or just as good as the stock brake system. Therefore the answer is no. The car is driven occasionally on nice days, and it is my baby, so no track use is in the near future. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

</TD></TR></TABLE>just upgrade the rotors and brake pads then. honestly if it is not gonna be used for track use and you only use it on days when it is nice out, you would better off spending that money else where!!!
stoptech does have a better brake kit for the rsx-s that os only $699. i will send the link later..

What are you really getting in that kit that'll help you stop better on the street? Pads. That's it. The rest is just 'fluff'.
SS brakelines aren't the best idea for a street car, and those rotors will not improve stopping distances. Fluid...you can go to autozone and pick up Valvoline Synthetic and be just as good for a lot less cash.
As nahonda04 was saying, big brake kits are a complete waste of money unless you really, really need them for track duty.
If you want bling, then buy a set of Spoon calipers. Don't waste money on SS brakelines, fancy fluid and rotors.

I agree with Todd... If you want bling, buy exactly what it is you want. Because that is what it is going to be there for. Staring at.
If you are going to hit the track, do some more research and select a kit or combination of parts that will yield the best results for your needs, and/or fit within the regulations/guidelines of your racing series.

Do they have a spoon caliper that fits directly onto my Type s...because if they did, I would definitely buy them. I know A LOT more about cars and braking systems than my post lets on...I was pretty much just wondering if the wilwood kits FITS my car. I understand that for the street my 12" oem front brakes in conjunction with the rear will do all the stopping I need to do. But IMO a powdercoated oem caliper looks more ricey than say a nice wilwood caliper, even if the wilwood is the same size. I agree that the stop-tech kit is a bit expensive after taking a second look. I saw a nice set of spoon calipers (made by Nissin of course) )on Ebay that I am going to look into more. Here is the Wilwood kit I was looking at. Maybe this link will help:

I love you!

The willwoods will fit perfectly. If you want a set I have a friend of mine selling a slightly used set of Custom willwoods with the larger calipers for $350. He sold his RSX and took them off before he sold the car.
I would buy them but I can't fit a 15" wheel with them for me to run my slicks at the track. They are in awesome shape and need a new home

There are two Wilwood kits that will fit your car, both are identical except for the rotors that come with the kit:
Part number 140-7014 (HP Rotors)
Part number 140-7014-D (SRP Rotors)
"HP rotor kits include close tolerance machined smooth face rotors. The additional
mass of the HP rotor extends service life on heavier competition vehicles and
severe duty applications subject to higher sustained operating temperatures."
"For custom, show, and high performance sport driving, SRP rotor kits offer the high-tech look and improved performance of a directional cross-drill and face slot pattern. In addition to their aesthetic appeal, the venting and cleaning action of the holes and slots will reduce pad glaze, dissipate surface heat, and minimize
irregular pad build-up on the rotor faces. The results are smoother engagement
with improved consistency and response at the pedal. SRP rotors are treated with
a silver zinc wash to reduce corrosion on the areas of the rotor not kept clean by
pad contact."
FYI, there is a difference in the part numbers for 02-03 and 04-05 EP3s as the 04-05 version has 5 lug...

If I really need bigger brakes for the track. Which kit to get?
Is the Stoptech ST-41 300x28mm a good option?

Can´t afford any 3000$ kits...
I've used them on street cars...
Though on one car, one of the front lines rotted out and it burst, but this was 2 or 3 years after the install. So maybe longevity is the reason? And I'm in NC, not a state with corrosive salt on the roads in the winter.
