RSX - Asking About Next Upgrade!
I have an arctic blue
RSX with the following modifications:
Skunk2 Full Catback Exhaust System
Ground Control Coil-Overs
AEM Cold Air Intake
Air Force One BodyKit
Polaris HyperWhite Headlights
I'm basically openly asking about what should be my next mod, and then after that in what order. I'm not going for speed as much as looks. Right now I'm looking into Racing Hart 18"s, Skunk2 strut bars and camber kit, Carbon Fiber Hood, or HID system. I have about 800 right now to spend. Thanks so much for any insight and any advice/tips is much appreciated.

I know I'd probably get flamed for this reply but I'm also putting a lot of money into the looks of my car. Don't get me wrong, I am working on speed too, I figured why not, I have a Type S.. but I'm also working on looks.. Anyways, have you gotten a spoiler yet? You should get one but please don't make it ricey with that goddamn aluminum wing, I hate that ****.. Also, go ahead and get that CF hood, it would be a nice touch. Then start saving up for wheels cause the RSX has nice wheels stock (in my opinion) so you can run them until you have enough money.. well, that's good for now.. see what other people say.. Good luck!!
i say get some lightweight wheels, but please no 18's ...if you have any interest in performance....which you seem to with the type of bolt ons you got , 18's are a bad choice....stick with 16's ...racing hart cp-035r's are some hella light wheels that will benifit your performance greatly....and there are ,many other ligthweight wheels out there that will hook you up nicely...also start thinking about weight ...decide what you can do without...weight is a big handicap on the rsx-S ...

angel eyes look badass on your car
. i'd complete the suspension with the appropriate bars and struts before getting something like heavy 18 inch wheels. also, look into the comptech header or the nitrous oxide systems available for your car. do you have a hi-flow cat? what about a brake upgrade? carbon fiber hood is not a good idea...it won't save you much weight and I, personally, don't like the way they look on any but a white RSX. if you haven't upgraded your ignition with Jacobs or MSD yet, you could do that (gas mileage and smoother dyno plots in the midrange, i promise). short shifter (the entire assembly) works real well on your car...i've installed one. um. if you don't like any of those choices, start saving up for the forced induction products that shold be coming out relatively soon.
oh, i guess you could get a p&p if you wanted
edit: HID's look straight WICKED on your car
edit2: The JDM type-R wing makes your car look like a badass rally-racer. mebbe look into that?

/apoctreble thats a great choice.....the Cp-035r's happen to be some of the lightest wheels out there....and it just so happens they look hella sweet , especially on a RSX ....you might really want to think about the Free MOds...like converting your power steering over to manual...save some weight...make some extra space under the hood....not to mention makes steering feel very precise , and a lot more controlable....and depending were you live, or in the winter time at least...remove the a/c belt, with no p/s , and a/c hooked up it will free up a lot of drag on the motor....engine will be a lot more responsive ...these are just soome ideas...you gotta be kinda of a hardcore racer ...i dealt driving around my G1 like that for about 2 years, no a/c no p/s ...gutted interior....it improved braking handling...and accelerated some much better...

i checked out the CP-035R's like you recommended. first off they only come in 18's, which makes me think they aren't really for racing and designed to keep you rolling light. second, they're chrome? maybe the picture on http://www.racinghart.com was misrepresenting, but if they are chrome then definitely not interested. i'm thinkin silver/black. i was thinkin gunmetal but the gunmetal from racing hart is really dark, almost black. my crew says bronze but i don't think it'll really go. what u think tsunami?

Thanks bro, im trying to get my car as light as possible. I am even looking into FAL for ligter windows (hatch,2 rear side windows) And as much power I can get.
As for the wing, Its not really my style. One of the shops that is hooking me up has a type R (RSX) wing, the real one not a replica. I put it on my car to see how it would look and its huge as hell. Maybe some others may like it but its to big for me. I like the dc2r wing, it wasnts big as hell and had more of a smoother style to it then the dc5r did. I like the wingless look for now, every aftermarket wing out there is to big for my taste. As for the rims I couldnt pass them up. 17's that weight only 14 pounds.. Plus they are...JDM!!! hehe...
Every time I go to the dealership with my car, the service and parts department always ask about my rims, and I even had a few sales people come up to me and tell me how those rims are the best then have seen on a rsx. hehe.. Im glad to see that alot of people are enthusiast and love cars. Well good luck with you car

i've never seen a JDM dc-5R wing in real life , so its hard to tell how big it is...i'll take your word for it....if your looking to save some weight , how bout getting rid of that sunroof....and get a peice of lexan in its place...one of the best places you can take weight off a car is on its roof....makes for a lower center of gravity....lexan is clear , so you can still see thru it....but some peeps i know wont live with out it....not everybody is a hardcore racer i guess...
yeah dem JDM wheels are da sheit ....
