'94 front lip on '96 bumper
but there's this flap that sticks out in the middle of the front lip that prevents it form sliding right in. this where the oem '96 front lip tabs slide in...didn't you cut the whole thing up? or a piece of it maybe?
any updates i would like to know this info also. just bought my 97 wagon the other day and want to do the same thing. let me know
oh, all right...i was thinking of cutting from that flap that sticks out, tabs shaped after the slots from underneath the bumper so it'll slide in as well so i won't have to re-drill any extra holes.
it's gonna be one hell of a trick to pull off, but it'll fit in much better (i sure hope so...). a couple of snips here, and a quick pass of a soldering gun there...
wish me luck

yaaay! i finally had my front lip officially installed tooday! and it looks good...just the way i want it.
had to cut of large chunks of the middle part of the lip and cut out brackets that would fit into the recesses that the OEM lip brackets slide into. it wasn't to hard of a job if you wanna go DIY, a me small metal saw, tin scissors, an electric drill, a couple of metal screws for reinforcement, and sandpaper (aside from the usual tools you would need of course...)
cutting a bigger portions of plastic would result in a better fitting front lip as it hugs the bumper closer, if you know what i mean. but i have mine on a tiny bit further out so it looks like incorporated with the lower part of the bumper. i'm still trying to figure out how to post pics so you guys would see though...
thanks for the help and support guys! haha...
