my all motor set up

Default my all motor set up

i got 2000 civic ex coupe d16y8 144,xxx and its my daily i want to go all motor
im planning to start with these set up
stage 2 crower camshaft
crower spring and retainler
eagle h-beam connecting rods
and these pistons

exedy stage 2 clutch
exedy racing flywheel
is this good for daily?
what compression?
what octane?
what yall think?

all motor d series arent really that promising man. And personally 144000 isnt exactley the best place to be for an all motor build either. I think you'd be happier with a fresh b swap with the money you'd be spending on building the one you have.

And then you have an even bigger powerplant to grow from. Much more potential.

x2....i used to want to build my d and if it is something that you are dead set on doing then knock yourself out but that set up with a good tune will probably not get you 160hp to the wheels and for less then or close to what you are going to spend on all that work and all the parts you can get a B16 with a third the miles and the same hp that you will get with the set up you have planed.

but to answer your questions, i would put 11 or 11.5 compression pistons and you will probably have to burn premium fuel...if you are serious about doing a N/A build go to d-series.org or go to the N/A section of honda-tech they will be able to help a lot more then we will. best of luck with what ever you decide to do
