I have a 1989 hatchback 5speed stock. My passenger side axle is bad, my question is what year would interchange? I bought a axle at kragen and the splined shaft that goes through the hub was too small, I took that axle back and the parts guy gave me an axle from a 93 civic 5spd and now is vibrating really bad from the passenger side, im going to take that axle back but would like to know what other axle would work with mine.

they may have given you the wrongf model axle....if its the factory motor and trans then you should get one for a 89 civic (whatever model) 5 speed...there should be no reason it shouldnt work unless they gave you the wrong one
