Default reverse lights 93 h23

so i have a 93 h23 5-speed and when i put it into reverse the reverse lights dont come on....the guy that owned it before me said when he changed the clutch he forgot to put the sensor or switch or whatever back in for the reverse lights.....it didn't bother me for a while but i'm tiring of not being able ot see behind me at night time when i'm backing up....can anyone help me out here...i just wanna know how to put it back so they work. thanks

There's a switch on top of the tranny with one wire coming off of it, that switches on when you move into reverse. It's on top, under the distributor. Check to see if it's connected.

If the sensor is gone, there'll be a big hole on top of your tranny

Besides the VSS which is farther back, and a ground, it should be the only wire connected to the tranny.
